Located in the lower level of the Graduate Apartment building, with Integral Life. I share office space with other healthcare practitioners. We are independently practicing professionals who share expenses, office space and administrative functions.

Address:
419 S 19th St
Lower Level
Philadelphia, PA

The door is on 19th St. Enter the building and take the elevator down one level to “D” (D for down). The elevator will open into the waiting room, just have a seat and I’ll find you. If you are a new client, I’ll leave the intake paperwork on a chair for you to read and complete.

Parking
There are plenty of two-hour spots, metered and free, in the vicinity. There is a parking lot on Lombard between 20th and 21st with reasonable hourly rates.

To foster a respectful and healthy collaborative relationship, we agree to the following:

Jaie Bosse, Naturopathic Doctor, agrees to do the following:
  • Provide a setting that is safe and comfortable.
  • Listen without judgment.
  • Meet you where you are, validate your previous experiences and not force specific treatments on you.
  • Seek the root causes, imbalances and dysfunctions related to your health challenges and not just suppress symptoms.
  • Educate you about health and healthcare.
  • Empower you to make your own healthcare choices. And then respect those choices.
  • Provide individualized recommendations and not one-size-treats-all plans.
  • Treat you as a person and not your numbers (lab results, BMI, etc).
  • Continuously expand my own knowledge about health and wellness.
  • Cultivate my own physical, mental and spiritual health.
You agree to do the following:
  • Communicate. If you don’t share your full story then I might miss underlying causes. If you disagree with me, please tell me how and why. I would always like the opportunity to right a wrong.
  • Keep an open mind. I value your ideas regarding possible causes and treatment options. Sometimes I recommend something different because of my clinical experiences and medical knowledge.
  • Participate. To illuminate health, you might have to change your daily patterns: perhaps eat different things, get to sleep earlier, etc. You play the most important role in the care of your health.
  • Be patient. Healing chronic illness doesn’t happen overnight.
  • Commit. Long-term clients will be able to identify the underlying causes of their health concerns, find balance as the body heals itself, and recognize the multiple benefits of engaging in daily health care routines.
Privacy

I maintain the privacy of medical and health information of any individual for whom I provide services and endeavor to comply with all relevant state, national, and international laws and regulations including the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.

Product Recommendations

To keep costs low I do not stock products in my office. If I recommend specific supplements as part of your treatment plan I will send those recommendations to you via email and they can be purchased from my virtual store. Because there is limited oversight of herbal and nutritional products, it can be difficult to guarantee that what it says on the bottle is actually what is in the bottle. I spend a great deal of time researching quality brands, best ingredients and delivery formats. If I have recommended a specific product it is because I believe that exact product is the best one for you. You are always welcome to shop around for better prices but substituting different brands or products could affect outcomes.

Refunds for Supplements

Refunds (minus sales tax, shipping and a 30% restocking fee) might be available for products purchased directly from me. They must be unopened, unrefrigerated and presented within 30 days of purchase.

Telephone and
Email Communication

It is important to me to remain accessible to patients and for that reason I personally reply to emails and phone calls. Current clients with relevant, clarifying questions about previously discussed conditions or my recommendations are answered at no charge. If you have a new or complicated concern (determined at my discretion) or have gone longer than six weeks without a visit, I will ask that you schedule an appointment or phone consultation. (Email communication is not secure and should be treated cautiously.)

Insurance

At this time, I do not accept insurance. Because naturopathic physicians are not yet licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, I am not covered by any insurance providers.  If you have a FSA plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement.

On-Time Policy

Office visits will not be extended due to late arrival. Please allow yourself plenty of time for traffic and parking.

Payment

Payment required in full at time of appointment. I accept cash, check or credit card. I use stripe.com to store credit card information. It is PCI compliant and I am not able to see your credit card numbers. I will never charge your card without your permission.

Checks returned for insufficient funds will incur a $25 fee.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so more than 48 hours before the appointment, otherwise I will charge a $30 cancellation fee.

Naturopathy is founded on the belief that the body has the innate ability to heal itself. Today we combine the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. We synthesize the best of conventional and natural medicine to address YOUR health concerns. We use a holistic understanding of the root causes of disease and a blend of nutritional, energetic and herbal therapies to optimize health. We assess the whole person, and consider the physical, mental and emotional expression of wellness and disease. Gentle, non-invasive techniques are often used to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself.

Any of the following approaches may be used:

Dietary changes and nutritional supplements are often recommended to promote health, correct deficiencies and address pathology.

Lifestyle counseling consists of recommendations that are specific to an individual that can reduce risk factors and maintain health. Recommendations often include exercise, smoking cessation, etc.

Herbs are plants that have been dried into a tea or capsule or distilled into a tincture. Plants contain many different parts that have different effects. Many modern drugs are created by isolating one part from the rest of the plant – which often causes more side effects than taking the whole plant.

Homeopathy is a therapeutic system based on the “law of similars.” A minute dose of a substance that (in large doses) would cause symptoms in a healthy person is used to treat those symptoms in an unhealthy person. These miniscule doses are used to stimulate the ability of the body to heal itself. Homeopathy has few side effects.

Hydrotherapy is the use of hot and cold water applications to improve circulation and stimulate the immune system.

Flower Essences are dilutions of flowers that energetically address emotional and mental issues.
